After graduating from Istanbul F.M.V. Private Işık High School, Nilay Özenbay graduated from Işık University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Visual Arts Sculpture in 2015 with first place. Between 1997-2004, she started her sculpture studies at the workshop of the late sculptor İrfan Korkmazlar. Between 2004-2008, he continued his studies under the guidance of sculptor Ziyaeddin Nuriev, a faculty member of Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts. In 2008-2009, he attended the "Fine Arts Sculpture Course" at the New York School of Visual Arts.
