
Gözde Baykara (1977, Aydın) focuses on contemporary issues such as social femininity roles, body politics, sexual identity and belonging, death and life cycles, and masculine power issues. Along with his undergraduate thesis titled “Contemporary Art and Death Phenomenon”, he discussed the historical development of the art of painting and the reflection of the phenomenon of death on art in this context, various perspectives on the phenomenon of death from the past to the present, and the application processes of the phenomenon of death in painting in the historical process. The artist still lives in İzmir and continues his painting works.
