Ersan Deveci (1969, İzmir) produces his works mostly on object images using a graphic and illustrative aesthetic language. It determines the thematic framework of his artistic practice by referring to their symbolic, imaginary, ideological and cultural codes. The works of Ersan Deveci, who received military training, are loaded with autobiographical references. He paints military equipment and equipment completely out of context, transforming them into timeless objects, subjecting them to become part of a story. The artist invites the viewer to focus on the aesthetic details of the objects used for purely functional purposes, with his paintings using enamel paint and drop varnish on aluminum composite.
