The artist was born in Sivas in 1949. He graduated from Istanbul State Applied Fine Arts High School in 1974.
The artist, who worked as a lecturer at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Fine Arts Faculty between 1994-2009, still lives and works in Istanbul.
Examining the cultural values of Hatay region very well, the artist applied two large stone sculptures to this region. The first of these is the "Statue of the Republic" at the entrance of Hatay Mustafa Kemel University Rectorate, and the second is the "Idols" made within the framework of the 1st Yesemek Basalt Stone Symposium in Antakya Park. These sculptures have features that describe the region.
