EBRU DÖŞEKÇİ'S “TRAVELLER” EXHIBITION AT MERKUR 

Ebru Dosekci’s second personal exhibition titled “Traveler” is set to take place at MERKUR.   In the exhibition will be the artist’s ten sculptures produced recently. 

 

Sculptures in the exhibition carry the traces of a long journey where the artist passed the same places repeatedly and made certain choices then looked back in order to approve them.  It consists of more closed, more confident and mature yet dynamic forms.  Sculptures that are both wild and striding more strongly…  They are the statements of journeys that each one has own story with their lively colors, smooth surfaces and aesthetic expressions.

 

Using simple, calm and plain forms which do not tire the viewers in her sculptures, the artist chooses the materials and colors depending on which emotion the piece gave her. 

The young sculptress Ebru Dosekci graduated from the Yeditepe University Plastic Arts Faculty with a master's degree diploma in 2005.
