BAHAR OGANER'S “YOU HAVE A MESSAGE!” EXHIBITION AT MERKUR 

Artist Bahar Oganer builds a fairy-tale narrative with the figure and the depictions of the nature surrounding it, in her first exhibition “YOU HAVE A MESSAGE!” hosted by MERKUR, which consists of her recent works. The depictions of nature, which provide an endless backdrop, bring Oganer's paintings to a fresh and indefinite ground. The artist creates a sense of eternity that is not dependent on space and time, by constructing a colorful image of woman and monochrome nature depictions that communicate directly with the viewer instead of taking an evasive glance.

 The scenes chosen by the artist promise an ambiguous excitement to the audience, while creating a narrative pictorial language that presents the ordinary and the extraordinary in the same frame. Oganer “YOU HAVE A MESSAGE!” he conveys an imaginary but clear message to us in his exhibition. This message that Oganer's paintings convey to the audience in a direct and unqualified way invites him to become a part of the artist's fictional narrative.
