FATMA TÜLİN'S “FACES, WHISSERS” EXHIBITION AT MERKUR

Fatma Tülin's first exhibition “Faces, Whispers” at MERKUR opens on March 9 - April 8, 2017.

Fatma Tülin is an artist who cares about continuous renewal and creating change in her works . This time, he presents an exhibition of portraits bir . In her 38th solo exhibition, the artist examines the mysterious and difficult relationships between the focus of the "looker" and the "looked at".  Roland Barthes says, “The look always seeks; something or someone is a disturbing sign  in the universe. In the act of looking, the boundaries of what is active and passive are unclear.”

Has painter  been viewed? Does model  see him looking straight at her, or is it a target in her own mind that caught  at that moment? this  uncertainty creates in artist  distress and  anxiety,  alienation creates alienation 136bad.

Does the person who looks into the eye care  ? Could this be a sign of intimacy,  sharing  desire, seeking partnership… The foreigner  cc -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ fearless glance, or is it a challenge? Does stranger  mean insecurity?
