EYLÜL DENİZ'S "SÖZ" EXHIBITION AT MERKUR

Poet and painter Eylül Deniz's first solo exhibition titled "Word" opens at MERKUR on Wednesday, February 6th.

Eylül Deniz, who has 3 published poetry books and International Istanbul Poetry Festival Special Jury Award; In his works produced with mixed technique on canvas, he presents a visual feast by transferring the harmony between word and meaning to his paintings, alternating between touch, colors, sensitivity and emotions. Placing the poem into the painting, the artist transforms the image into a canvas with a kind of insight and ecstasy.

The artist interprets his point of view on his works as follows;

“A structure connected by language is my painting… It is detached from a certain context, in its own meaning, devoid of all known certainties and imposed rules… An expression that rebels against traditions, evolved from another tradition… Just like in my poetry, it is an untamable form of expression that I express more by implication. ”

 

Eylul Deniz's works, in which poetry and painting become an inseparable whole, meet with art lovers at MERKUR between 6 February and 2 March.
