ZİYA TACİR'S “PRINKIPO ORPHANAGE” EXHIBITION AT MERKUR

MERKUR is hosting photographer Ziya Tacir's second solo photography exhibition titled "Greek Orphanage".

The exhibition, which will be on view from May 07, 2013 to May 27, 2013, is a clear statement of the artist's concern for the destruction of artistic, architectural and culturally significant structures.

With 16 large-scale photographic prints of the Greek Orphanage in Büyükada, Ziya Tacir takes the viewer on a journey through a neglected space and invites the viewer to relate and contemplate between the traces of our recent history that have begun to be erased and the landscapes of intense consumption offered by today's metropolises.
