ADNAN ÇOKER's "BENİM SİYAHIM" EXHIBITION AT MERKUR 

 

 The 13 works that will be included in the exhibition will be included in his latest composition “Respect”, which he reconsidered and composed, including forms selected from Adnan Çoker's retrospective and “Adnan Çoker Self-Portrait with Respect for Malevich and Leonardo Da Vinci”. .

 

“Now my blacks have the opposite of Malevich. It is not possible to see the black that I have done, neither in our days nor in our nights. Why not? Because if you look at the daytime in the atmosphere layer, there is gray, in sunny weather there is blue, there is red, there is yellow, but none of them are black. So is it black at night? It's not exactly black at night either... So how do you get this absolute black? This will only be achieved without atmosphere. My Black is intangible to the world, but becomes tangible when it leaves the world.”
