ARZU AKGÜN'S "AVERAGE SUBJECTS" EXHIBITION AT MERKUR 

 

Arzu Akgün's exhibition, which she created using scraping and mixed techniques on wood, will open at MERKUR on October 5th.

 

Akgün colors and enlivens the embodied world of today through the emotional and fantasy world in his works. Saying, “My aim is to establish and shape an inner world for myself and to enable the emotions to be expressed through patterns and colors,” the artist inextricably connects the concepts of love and hate, color and pattern in his paintings.

The artist, who reshaped his painting production by constructing and differentiating it on motifs and child figures, created the “Love Subjects” series by taking advantage of the relief effect he created by scraping and painting the traditional symbolic motifs on wood in the same way.
